Looking Up

Tue Oct 13, 2009, 5:03 PM
So life seems to have moved on to a place where I find myself to be quite content with. this doesn't mean that all my problems have been solved but I've stopped panicking and calmed down a little.

Anyways, I was quite pleased when I logged onto my deviantart last night to see a note from :marzguy: asking permission to use My Paper Heart in a poem that he wrote which is actually quite beautiful and I was very honoured.

Their poem can be found here: [link]

So that really made my day :)

Other then that, I have come to the conclusion that i have created a vendetta for my art class. Its not the people in it but the class itself. We're doing printmaking right now, which has no creativity at all. We had to choose a culture and then make a print of it. I chose Egypt. I became brain dead I swear. I cannot think of anything.

Here's to the hope of inspiration hitting me in the face.

  • Mood: Lazy
  • Listening to: Candle (Sick and Tired)- White Tie Affair
  • Reading: my essay for philosophy
  • Playing: farmville...
  • Eating: imaginary chocolate

Good to hear things're going well =]

Sorry to hear you're doing printmaking though! I think that is probably my most hated style of art that I've done in class too, it's tedious! Heh, best of luck with your theme, lol. ^_^

i can't stand it lol and i just know that she's going to give me a low mark because my prints are so poor. Plus she's the kind of teacher that doesn't extend boundaries, if its not exactly she she wants then she gives it a low mark. An art teacher of all people lol.

Hmm sounds exactly like my teacher! xD lol, she's always telling us to re-do work if it doesn't suit her high expectations.
I didn't think it was possible to do a good print anyways, lol and if someone does do a good one, it's usually a miracle!
Art teachers are a little crazy I think.

lol I'm half an art teacher does that mean i'm half crazy? I'm also looking to pursue teaching art as a career XD Oh no I'm doomed to insaneness. I've seen some pretty good ones so far, and I have so much inspiration for everyone else's culture but my own. I keep drawing a blank, even if I look at it from an outer perspective lol. We can't even redo it if she doesn't like it and what i really hate is that she deducts marks when we hand it in late, and usually all my art work is handed in late because and idea doesn't actually punch me in the face until late the night before its due. My old art teacher used to accept everything late which was nice and i used to get really high marks because she didn't judge it. Now its like there's no hope and this is the year it counts.
